"Don't say that 'Al is just a friend,'" Zoe hissed. "You know that to you, he's more!"

"Then why not admit you like him?" Zoe asked, spreading her arms. She almost laughed. "This is insane!"

Zoe opened her mouth, waiting for her brain to supply a retort, but it never came. She sat on a rock in a huff, wondering what to do.

"This needs to be resolved in one way or another," Zoe murmured, her voice wavering.

Nikki looked up startled "Ur not gonna kill me are you?"

Zoe looked at her, incredulous.
"Are you kidding?" She chuckled. "No, not over this. That would be stupid."

Nikki wiped her forhead."Phew." she grinned

Zoe smiled at Nikki.
"I think we might have to call it a night," she said, watching the sun crest over the mountains in the distance.

"Yep." Nikki watched as her neakless glowed

Zoe's faded, and she began climbing back down to the ground.

Nikki followed her. "Is it weird that we have neckles's that glow at oposing times? is it connected to each other of what?" she asked

Zoe winced, having hoped Nikki wouldn't reach that question.
"Yes, there's a connection," she said evasively.

Zoe looked around, and placing her hands on Nikki's shoulders looked right into her eyes.
"You can't tell anybody, ok?" she ordered, a small fire dancing in her eyes. She had held this secret so close, and now it was finally being released.
